Paweł Fryc
Paweł Fryc – Deputy Mayor of the City of Kamienna Góra. For several years, he has been coordinating and supporting the development of social and municipal housing in the city. He is the initiator and a participant in a program of the World Bank and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy: the Urban Partnership Initiative, Thematic Network: City of Affordable Housing. Within this initiative, together with several other entities (cities, Social Housing Associations – TBS, and Social Housing Initiatives – SIM), knowledge is exchanged among stakeholders involved in shaping and implementing housing policy, and recommendations in the field of housing are developed for ministries and the World Bank.
Kamienna Góra has constructed the first municipal building in Poland with enhanced energy efficiency, supported by funds from the National Recovery Plan (KPO). In recent years, investments covering over 200 social housing units have been underway, with several dozen additional units currently under renovation. The city has fewer than 16,000 residents and for 30 years has been a co-founder of one of the first TBS organizations in Poland.
Currently, in cooperation with the Institute of Urban and Regional Development, he is working on the city’s first professional Municipal Revitalization Program as well as a city development strategy.
A happy husband and father of four children.
