Ludwik Kaizerbrecht, IARP is an architect, designer and photographer based in Shanghai. He was born and raised in Poland.
His professional experience includes time as Design Director at Gensler in Shanghai, leading projects from concept through to construction. His experience spans large-scale developments, including : tall towers, office campuses, headquarter design and mixed use. He has also practiced professionally in Beijing, Warsaw and Cracow.
Ludwik has collaborated on numerous award-winning projects, including the History Museum of Poland in Warsaw (WXCA), Cricoteka in Krakow (nsMoonStudio), YOFC Headquarters in Wuhan (Gensler), A1 Campus in Shanghai (Gensler), among others.
He has been invited to serve as a juror for international architectural competitions and is the author of numerous publications on architecture and design.
Ludwik holds a professional architectural license from the Polish Chamber of Architects (IARP, 2016) and has received multiple awards and recognitions, including Design Excellence at CTBUH 2024 for YOFC Headquarters and Gold at CredAwards, and others. His work has been featured in publications such as Detail Magazine, Forbes Polska, Archivolta, A&B, The Times Polska, and more.
He received a Master of Architecture degree from the Silesian University of Technology, where his project “Geomorphosis of Ice” received the Best Silesian Diploma award and was nominated for the Zbyszko Zawistowski Award (2010 edition).
