Jerzy Woźniak

born 02.11.1984, studied Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań and at ArtEz in Enschede, the Netherlands. After a scholarship in Enschede, he interrupted his studies and together with Paweł Garus took up a job at the Liong Lie/123DV office in Rotterdam, in order to start working together under his own brand mode:lina™ after returning to Poland in 2009.

“From the very start of our practice I’ve stuck to a 7 a.m.–3 p.m. schedule so I can make the most of time with family and friends. We fill those quality hours with sports, music, books, the delights of city life, and travel.”

The philosophy behind mode:lina™'s design work is based on a balance between an empathetic approach to the client, attention to the client's needs and attention to the functionality of the project and the incorporation of the project's intentions into coherent forms and details that guarantee the quality of the end user's experience.

mode:lina™ is, together with its two founders and a one-person business department, a team of talented young Polish designers, united by their understanding of architecture as a tool for creative exploration of form and function, designing spaces of experience that simply make people's lives better.
