The New European Bauhaus

13 May 2021 – 4 Design Days Online

The 6th edition of the 4 Design Days will be held at the International Congress Centre in Katowice on new dates – 27–30 January 2022. Taking into account the specific nature of the event as well as the current epidemic situation in Poland, the Organiser has decided – in consultation with our Partners – to change the dates of the event.

The immortal Bauhaus in a new role. How can we build on the foundations of Walter Gropius’ school to create a vision of architecture of the future that puts people and the environment first? Will the ideas of Bauhaus stop the climate crisis and ensure a better life for future generations?

Functionality, innovation, economisation, art… and safety. Will the pioneering ideas of Bauhaus also work in post-COVID interiors? Will those ideas dominate trends in industrial design as well as the design of space for living and working?

This is what we will be talking about during the 4 Design Days in May, which will be held in an online format. See the agenda.

Back in January, during the 4 Design Days Pre-Opening Online, we assumed that we would meet in Katowice in May – in both stationary and online format. Today we already know that we have to change our plans. We hope that the beginning of next year is a safe perspective for the full version of the 4 Design Days and – as in previous years – that the 4 Design Days will consist of two days for industry representatives and two open days.

The largest international event for the property, architecture, interiors and design market in this part of Europe is scheduled for 27–30 January 2022. The first two days (27–28 January 2022) of the 4 Design Days will be packed with dozens of thematic sessions addressed to professionals dealing with property, architecture and design. Saturday and Sunday (29–30 January 2022) will be open days for residents of the region, as well as for guests from Poland and abroad. As in previous years, the conference will be accompanied by an exhibition presenting the product offer of manufacturers and service providers related to interior design.

Due to the epidemic situation in Poland, on 28–29 January 2021 the event was organised in an online format for the first time, which was to precede the hybrid meeting in May this year.

The two-day 4 Design Days Pre-Opening Online discussion was carried out entirely in a virtual studio. The online debates were replayed live 60,000 times. Nearly 1,800 people registered for online participation. Over 500 people sat in front of their screens at the same time, and the record-breaking session attracted over 900 viewers watching it simultaneously.

We firmly believe that with the return to the new normality we will also return to the scale of the 4 Design Days from before the pandemic, and that – thanks to the online reach – we will be able to expand our audience even further.

The 6th edition of the 4 Design Days will be held on 27–30 January 2022. The event is organised by the PTWP SA Group – the publisher of industry magazines and portals, including PropertyNews.pl and PropertyDesign.pl, and the Organiser of the European Economic Congress as well as other events.
