During the 4DD trade fair in Katowice representatives of the Silesian University of Technology will present the “Silesian School of Design” brand of postgraduate course starting in the Autumn of 2020.

At its booth the University will present innovative projects of its employees and students of the Faculty of Architecture.

Furthermore, unusual mock-ups of the Italian city of Bologna will be exhibited. The mock-ups were created as part of what is the experimental Project Based Learning approach. It involved a group of 16 students developing a single project, using data from the Municipal System of Spatial Information of the city of Bologna. The mock-ups illustrate the development density of the city and the analysis of public spaces according to Kevin Lynch’s method. The training was supposed to prepare the students for workshops at the international ARCHEA project – European Medium-sized City Agreement in Bologna and Cesena financed by the EU Erasmus+ programme. The Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology is a project partner in a consortium of 5 universities from Italy, France and Germany.
