Michał Lorbiecki

Authorized representative of the Mayor of Tychy

He is an urbanist and economist. As the mayor's plenipotentiary he is the initiator, coordinator and designer of the new city centre of Tychy. He is also the mayor's plenipotentiary for the coordination and development of public space for pedestrian traffic in the city of Tychy initiating solutions aimed at sustainable mobility. He is an experienced spatial planner, practitioner of GIS, public participation and revitalization activities, and author of scientific papers. He was a PhD student at the Department of Spatial and Environmental Economics at the University of Economics in Katowice. In 2014, he was among the top 5% of graduates and is a member of the program board of the spatial development studies at this university. From 2015 to 2021 he was a Board Member of the Silesian branch of the Society of Polish Urban Planners. On social media, he is known as Urbanomista.
