Andy Yu

Projects Director, Sou Fujimoto Architects

Andy Yu graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 and has worked internationally in Asia and Europe. With a mixed cultural background and constantly transitory, Andy has harvested his position as an outsider to benefit his view on architecture, at one point finding himself on a sabbatical from architecture entirely, and cooked ramen as a chef in Amsterdam.

He joined Sou Fujimoto Atelier Paris in 2016, where he is a projects director, focusing on helping to bring Sou's unique architecture into the European context through business development and architecture competitions. His has been passionately teaching since 2010, in Australia, Poland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway and Spain in various studios and workshops. For him, teaching is a process of investigation and a forum of discussion, where he freely brings inspiration from the gastronomic arts, as a way to understand culture and architecture.
