Kazimierz Karolczak, Chairman of the Board at the Metropolis of Upper Silesia and Zagłębie - the very first metropolis in Poland. Coordinates the works of the Metropolis related to implementation of its statutory tasks: formation of spatial order, socio-economic development, development and integration of public transport and promotion. He had previously held the position of the Deputy-Marshal of the Province of Silesia, where he had been responsible for issues related to e.g.: European Social Fund and Environmental Protection and Management. Between 1999 – 2003 he was involved in his own business activity, then in 2003 he settled WORKER Sp. z o.o., one of the first employment agencies in Poland which soon became one of the largest companies operating within its sector. In 2007 WORKER Sp. z o.o was sold to an international investor. At the time of sale, the company made profits at the level of more than PLN 50 million, employed and posted nearly 3 thousand employees.
