Housemarket Forum Silesia • 15–18 February 2018

The shortage of dwellings and the economic prosperity in the housing industry have whetted the appetites of Silesian developers. They build courageously and on an increasingly greater scale. How is the housing gap being bridged in the region? How many more dwellings will there be in demand?

‘Mieszkanie Plus’ (‘Housing Plus’) in Silesia: Is it a positive or negative phenomenon? How to utilise the government programme effectively and adjust it to local needs? Is it the driving force behind new investment projects tailored to the pockets of the inhabitants of Silesia? Or, maybe, is it in competition with the plans of developers?

Where to raise capital for development? Are REITs the answer? Will they catch on in Poland? How is the potential of REIT vehicles for the housing market being assessed by Silesian developers?

In order to find answers to these questions, the PTWP SA Group – the publisher of the Housemarket.pl website – decided to organise the third edition of the conference styled Housemarket Forum Silesia 2018.

Our discussions will also focus on the rental market, as the housing industry is becoming increasingly tempting for investors, which is influenced by such phenomena as the stable economy and good results of the housing sector. The key players who invest in residential property intended for rent zero in on Poland, but Katowice still has an underdeveloped housing rental sector. Will this change? How to make a profit in the segment?

What is in vogue? Where does the Internet generation wish to live? Maybe in the old walls? The fashion for revitalisation is alive and well in Silesia. There is a growing number of post‑industrial buildings and pre-war tenement houses, as well as post-industrial sites being given a new life. Thanks to the passion of investors and architects, there are incredible flats, apartments or lofts being created in the old walls, and the demand for them is constantly growing.

The 3rd edition of the meeting will be attended by the key developers from the region, city officials, financial institutions, representatives of funds investing in dwellings for rent, and architects. The event will be part of the 3rd edition of the 4 Design Days.

You are most welcome to join us!
